I'm taking part in the Walk in Her Name Step Challenge in aid of Ovarian Cancer Action
My mum battled ovarian cancer for 18 months and not once did she let it get her down. Unfortunately she lost her fight nearly 6 years ago and now I'm going to walk for her and her sisters.
Every year, 295,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer globally. Approximately half of these women will not survive beyond five years. March is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month and I’m taking 295,000 steps throghout the month to raise funds for life-saving research that will help these women, and the next generation, survive.
Please help me take 295,000 steps, raise £295 and move research forward. #stepforeverywoman
Reasons WhyMonday 1st Mar I lost my mum to ovarian cancer on 2nd April 2015 after she was diagnosed in November 2013. In those 15 months, she never stopped smiling or making us laugh. Even in her last days, she had us in fits of giggles over her 'Armani' bag not behaving itself.
