Five Friends and a Sister are taking part in the "Walk in Her Name" Step Challenge in aid of Ovarian Cancer Action
We are taking part in the Walk in Her Name Step Challenge in aid of Ovarian Cancer Action in memory of our friend and sister, Sarah Emly.
Every year, 295,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer globally. In 2015 Sarah was one of them. She was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer aged just 41, having suffered vague gastro-intestinal symptoms for only three months. Approximately half of these 295,000 women will not survive beyond five years. Sarah was one of them. She lived for just 2.5 years after her diagnosis, passing away in December 2017. We love her and miss her so much, but we shall never forget her.
March is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month and the five of us in Team Sparkle (so named because Sarah loved a bit of sparkle) are each taking 295,000 steps throughout the month to raise funds for life-saving research into ovarian cancer that will help these women, and the next generation, to survive this disease.
Please help us to take 295,000 steps each to raise TOTAL GOAL to help fund scientific research.
