I’m taking part in the Research Relay in aid of Ovarian Cancer Action.

For the first time ever, Ovarian Cancer Action’s research is at risk, but women diagnosed with ovarian cancer cannot wait. COVID-19 has paused some of their life-saving research. I’m taking part in the Research Relay to help them make up for lost time.

Women diagnosed with ovarian cancer need our support more than ever. Please help me raise funds to get ovarian cancer research back on track #OCAresearchrelay

616 miles complete!

Monday 31st Aug
Was it a good idea in the end? It certainly was. 616 miles cycled, walked and run by myself, my mum (Sally) and my aunty (Penny). That’s 616 miles EACH. Today we cycled our final 30 miles (which turned out to actually be 40) joined by my uncle Steven and cousin Gareth. It was brilliant. We have raised over £2000 for Ovarian Cancer Action (helped hugely by the wonderful Linda with her 100km ride) which is an amazing amount. Thank you from the very bottom of my heart to everyone who has supported this challenge. You are all very special people and have supported a very important charity. Not only important to me, but to more people that you realise. If you were waiting for me to finish the challenge to donate, now is your chance! Well done and THANK YOU mum and Penny for doing this with me. You are both truly incredible and you inspire me everyday. I wonder what the next challenge holds...

Nearly there!

Tuesday 25th Aug
Well, I can’t quite believe it, but we are nearly there! I have less than 100 miles left. My legs are tired, but I have loved the challenge of getting out, getting the miles in AND raising money for this incredibly important charity.
If I have had the pleasure of riding with you this month, then thank you. It has been great to have such brilliant company along the way. If you have donated, then you are an absolute treasure and I thank you for the very bottom of my heart.
I am looking forward to a final ride of the challenge with my partners-in-crime, and to have the chance to celebrate this pretty epic achievement! 🚲💙🎉

Getting the miles in!

Saturday 15th Aug
Yesterday, I enjoyed a fab ride with this bunch! Wanted to say a HUGE well done to mum (Sally) for another 100km as part of our huge 616 mile challenge, to Linda for her FIRST EVER 100km - (you totally rocked it!) and a special thank you to Dougie for leading us, and bringing Chris too! This ride helps to cover a few of the massive 616 miles I am riding this month to help raise money and awareness for Ovarian Cancer Action. Thank you to everyone who has supported and donated. The charity are so so grateful, and it will save lives.

Thank you and achy legs

Saturday 8th Aug
We have been blown away by the support and generosity people have shown us in completing this challenge! Between us, we have so far completed 804 miles, which will continue to steadily increase as the month goes on.

My legs ache, I am tired, but I am so happy to be part of this challenge, raising money and awareness for this very important charity.

If you have donated, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you plan to, there’s still plenty of time!

Top of the leaderboard!

Monday 3rd Aug
Here we are at the top of the fundraising leaderboard! It’s been a good week of cycling so far, with 144 miles under my belt, I have a mere 472 to go! My mum and aunty have been bashing out the miles too, so it’s been a great start to the challenge. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has sponsored us for this event. It means the world and will help with research and awareness for this nasty disease.

Is this sensible? No. Am I doing it anyway? Yes!

Saturday 25th Jul
Is this sensible? I doubt it. Am I going to do it anyway? Yes!

Ovarian Cancer Action are suffering. Because of Covid-19, fundraising events have been cancelled and charities are losing out.

To counteract this, I am going to cycle 616 miles throughout the summer, the equivalent distance between each OCA research centre. It’s the OCA Research Relay!

Many of you have already been very generous with donating to this cause, but if you would like to and you can, please feel free to follow the link and sponsor me.

Also, if you fancy a ride let me know. I have plenty of miles to cover!

Thank you to my Sponsors
