My target 240000 Steps
I'm taking part in the Walk in Her Name Step Challenge in aid of Ovarian Cancer Action
Every year, 295,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer globally. Approximately half of these women will not survive beyond five years. March is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month and I’m taking 240,000 steps throughout the month to raise funds for life-saving research that will help these women, and the next generation, survive.
Please help me take 240,000 steps, raise £295 and help us make ovarian cancer a survivable disease.

Day 31 - Final Day
Thursday 31st Mar It’s snowing!
Day 30
Wednesday 30th Mar Tomorrow is the final day of the challenge. I have exceeded my steps and my fundraising target. I am so overwhelmed by the support and generosity of my family and friends. I am also proud that going into this final day I am top of the charities fundraiser leaderboard. Amazing. I am so proud to have achieved this, it has made my final month of treatment tangible. I hope the money raised helps fund key research towards earlier detection of Ovarian Cancer. 😊 Share
Day 26
Saturday 26th Mar A tough day, chemo drugs being a tad naughty. However, I got my steps in. Yay!
Day 22
Tuesday 22nd Mar I have been so lucky, for most of my walks the sun has been shining. I have had many willing victims come with me . I have cleared my 8000 steps everyday except one chemo day. Tomorrow is my final chemo. I will hopefully walk Rocky before I go and get most of my steps done.
Day 16 - half way there
Wednesday 16th Mar I am feeling good about my challenge and have hit my target every day except chemo day.
Day 13
Sunday 13th Mar I have met my steps target every day for the past few days. I am also proud to say I have exceeded £2000 in my fundraiser. Thank you to all those who are supporting me. 😊 Share
Day 10 - went wild
Thursday 10th Mar I went wild today and walked over 16500 steps. The glorious sunshine helped.
Day 7 - Awareness
Monday 7th Mar The EADT has helped me highlight Ovarian Cancer Awareness month.
Day 5- Wow, wow, wow
Saturday 5th Mar I am overwhelmed by everyone’s kind donations. (In one day!)
Day 4 - Set up
Friday 4th Mar So I back dated my steps. The 2nd was low as that was chemo day! I will make it up. 😊Thank you to my Sponsors
