My target 295000 Steps
I'm taking part in the Walk in Her Name Step Challenge in aid of Ovarian Cancer Action and for our good friend and sister, Sarah Emly
Every year, 295,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer globally. Approximately half of these 295,000 women will not survive beyond five years. Sarah was one of them, diagnosed in 2015 with stage 4 ovarian cancer. She was just 41, having suffered vague gastro-intestinal symptoms for only three months. Sarah lived for just 2.5 years after her diagnosis, passing away in December 2017. We miss her positivity, laughter and shall never forget her.
March is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month and I’m taking 295,000 steps throughout the month with Team Sparkle (Sarah loved a bit of sparkle) to raise funds for life-saving research that will help others, and the next generation, survive.
Please help me take 295,000 steps, raise at least £500 and move research forward. #stepforeverywoman.
